Robert William Gary Moore (Belfast, 4 de abril de 1952 - Estepona, 6 de fevereiro de 2011) é um conceituado guitarrista de blues. A vida de quem crescreu em meio às bombas do IRA e às brigas religiosas do pós-guerra refletia-se em seu som de guitarra: extremamente triste e sofrido, mas também visceral e técnico quando solicitado. Ele iniciou a trajetória profissional aos 16 anos de idade, tendo Eric Clapton, Peter Green e Jimi Hendrix como ídolos, e participando das gravações de um álbum da banda de folk Dr. Strangely Stranger. Pouco depois, Moore estava no Skid Row (banda irlandesa), onde conheceu seu fiel comparsa, Mr. Phil Lynott. Apesar do fanatismo pelo blues, o jazz também fazia sua cabeça, tanto que foi o estilo melhor explorado em seu primeiro álbum-solo, Grinding Stone (1973), e em sua breve jornada com a segunda encarnação do Colosseum, batizada de Colosseum II. No Thin Lizzy, ele deu colaborou na gravação de álguns álbuns, mas gravar mesmo foi só no compacto Darling (1974) e no álbum Black Rose (1979). Em parceria com o roqueiro Ozzy Osbourne, Moore compôs e gravou a canção “Lead Clones”, presente no CD “The Secret Songs” de Ozzy. Fez a sua carreira a solo e ainda tem muito sucesso, com destaque em duas fases distintas: a mais pesada de discos como “Corridors Of Power” (1982) e a mais blueseira e comerialmente rentável de álbuns como Still Got the Blues (1990).
